About Speaker

Dr Evan Shellshear is currently the Managing Director and Group CEO of Ubidy with a PhD from the Mathematical Economics (Game Theory) at the Nobel Prize winning Institute of Mathematical Economics at the University of Bielefeld. He has published a number of the world's best algorithms in many fields such as the ISO 3832 automotive standard with over 2 dozen papers in peer reviewed scientific journals and conferences (Google Scholar profile here).

 

He has published or co-published four books on topics ranging from the Amazon Best Seller Innovation Tools to AI in Medicine as well as the forthcoming Why Data Science Projects Fail: The Harsh Realities of Analytics and AI, without the Hype. He has also built an app for Google Play, BugRope, and successfully launched it with over 150,000 downloads. He has been on or is on multiple advisory boards of state, nationwide and international institutes, is a thought leader in the fields of AI and innovation having published almost 100 articles in leading blogs, magazines and news outlets. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology teaching topics from business analytics to AI strategy.

In this presentation we'll demystify building and implementing AI projects. Based on the recently released book by Doug Gray and Dr Evan Shellshear, Why Data Science Projects Fail, this presentation will unpack the research around AI project failure and draw some lessons for the Community Care industry and deal with the facts facing organisations when leveraging AI via community care industry examples.
