About Speaker
Anne Livingstone has been Director of Projects and Research for Global Community Resourcing since 2010. Global Community Resourcing is an award-winning Australian-based internationally focused company aimed at promoting and enhancing global innovation and business transformation in the community health and care sectors. In this role, Ms Livingstone is responsible for managing international and national projects, research and business activities.
Ms Livingstone has over 35 years’ experience in the primary health care and community service sector, particularly focused in community-based care. She worked early in her career directly in areas of service management, service development, policy reform and research. Her former role was with a state peak industry association during which time she held several national and international industry representation roles. She recently served for over eight years as the Executive and Project Lead for the Australian Aged Care Industry Technology Council and was also their Company Secretary until July 2024.
Ms Livingstone is currently involved in a number of activities focused on the promotion of innovation and new emerging technologies in community care, some including being International Convenor of the International Standards Organization (ISO) and International Electrotechnology Commission (IEC) Joint Working Group on Inclusive Living in Smart Homes, International Convenor of ISO Technical Committee 314 Ageing Societies Communications Group, Chair of the Community Care Smart Assistive Technologies Collaborative; and Chair of the Australian National Roundtable on Aged and Community Care for Forgotten Australians. She was recognised for her contributions to the improvements in Innovation and Technology in the community and aged care sector being inducted into the National Hall of Fame in 2018.
Her undergraduate qualifications include the areas of business, psychology, and quality. Her post graduate qualifications include to Master level in Social Impact and Project Management, along with being in the final stages of a Master of Supply Chain Innovation. She has completed Executive Certification from Harvard Business School in Digital Transformation and from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Strategic Technology Road mapping. In terms of governance background, she is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia (FGIA), holds International Company Director Certification (IDP-C) from INSEAD International Business School, is a graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), a graduate of the Australasian Institute of Clinical Governance (AICGG), a Justice of the Peace Qualified (JP Qual.), and is an internationally certified Association Executive from the American Association of Association Executives (CAE). She is also a Graduate of Social Leadership Australia and is currently completing the Fellow of the Institute of Community Directors certification where she is a current recipient of the Health and Mental Health scholarship.
Anne has published widely in journal articles on innovation in aged care, has contributed to a book chapter on the role standardisation will play in Ageing Societies, and is currently leading developments of two books, one related to the impact of Standardisation and the other on the incorporation of Emerging Technologies in Care.
